In this episode of Let’s Go Flying, we visit Darryl, the CEO of Action Drone USA, learn about their AD-1 quadcopter, and see both the AD-1 and AD-MINI quadcopters in action!

I got to fly the AD-1, and I really, REALLY liked it. It’s got a fantastic asymmetrical look, folds up very small for travelling, and is very balanced with pleasant manners and handling in the air.
Also, built-in gimbal and no landing gear or rotors to spoil the shot.

I’ve seen some of their promo footage (you can see it on their channel https://www.youtube.com/user/ActionDroneUSA1/videos ), and I’ve tentatively got an AD-1 on my wishlist.
Although…they were talking about a prototype design they’re working on that uses a $120ish 10,000mAh battery, and (on paper) should have a flight time of close to an hour…

That’s tempting to hold out for, for sure.
