In this exciting (and short!) episode, we discover that we’ve got a motor bearing going bad on the quadcopter, which almost brings the bird wobbling down uncontrollably.

Do you know what that means?
*UPGRADE TIME*

We’re going to cannibalize the parts of the (350mm size, X frame) Phantom 1 to build a new aerial photography platform on a 450mm size “Spider” frame. This will allow us to use larger propellers (to lift a heavier battery for longer flight times), and to move the camera from the center of the copter to one end of it (similar to what we saw a couple episodes ago with the AD-1) for nicer video with no props or landing gear in the shot!
