Boondocking in Battery Park, Apalachicola, FL

On the third, we left Ochlockonee River State Park and headed down to Apalachicola, FL. Our friends Jason and Kristin Snow (snowmads.com) blogged about Battery Park when they passed through here a couple weeks ahead of us. The directions they gave us were “Go down by the water’s edge, and look for all the RVs – awesome boondocking down there.

They were not kidding. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any cell reception, nevermind data (Even 3G is enough for me to work), so we had to move on after only one night. Apalachicola is a beautiful little town, and we will be back next year.

Preview: I crashed the quadcopter flying with Rick (The Static Nomadic). The copter is fine (new blades fix everything), but the GoPro took a hit to the lens. Videos will be a bit intermittent, and mostly shot on our cellphones until we get one of the the cameras back from being repaired. I’m the only person I know to have killed TWO¹ of these cameras. =)
